Project description
Redevelopment of Euston Station by Taylor Woodrow Construction. Platforms and freight handling areas completed; office development deferred.
A two-stage design for this major rail Terminal. The first stage comprising of the platforms and freight handling areas was completed by the [Archigram] Group, working with the Taylor Woodrow Construction engineers and service divisions. The second stage, office development, was deferred due to a change in government policy on this type of development.
The eventual station was designed by R. L. Moorcroft, British Rail’s Midland regional architect, and his team.
